Remote Recording in the Hudson Valley

Some of the best podcast conversations happen between two people who aren't in the same room. Upstate Podcast Studio makes sure your end of that conversation looks and sounds like it belongs there.

A remote session here isn't a Zoom call dressed up like a studio. It's a fully produced recording (pre-lit, sound-treated, single camera, with broadcast-quality audio) that just happens to have someone on the other end.

How it works

Two scenarios, same setup:

1) Your guest comes to us

A network, show, or radio station wants to interview someone local. The guest comes into the studio, the host connects remotely.

We set the guest up with a teleprompter so they can see the remote feed while simultaneously looking directly down the lens to maintain natural eye contact with the person they're talking to. We monitor the connection, run the technical, and keep everything moving.

The remote host gets a polished, professional guest. The guest gets a real studio experience.

2) You host from the studio

You're in Kingston, your guest is…anywhere. You record from the studio, your guest connects via Riverside from their end. Same production quality on your side (clean audio, good light, single camera) and we handle everything technical so you can focus on the conversation.

Who books this

National media companies like NPR, The BBC and Vox Media use the studio for exactly this. When a show needs a guest who's based in the Hudson Valley and doesn't want to travel to the city, this is the professional option.

The guest gets a real studio. The show gets clean footage and audio that matches their production quality.

Local hosts use it too. If your format includes remote guests, you don't have to choose between a professional studio presence and a flexible setup.

Rate $199/hr — same as a standard studio session.
